Is this sentence grammatically correct?

In my employee handbook a sentence under "Employment Applications" reads: "Any misrepresentations, falsifications, or material omissions in any of this information or data may result in exclusion of the individual from further consideration for employment or, if the person has been hired, termination of employment."

The way that I read this sentence leads me to believe that "misrepresentations, falsifications or material omissions" would not only exclude an individual from further consideration but would also exclude a hired employee from termination of employment. I know, of course, what my employer means to say, but is this sentence correct?
