Is this sentence grammatical ?

Hello,

I'd like to ask a question :

Just because two variables are correlated does not necessarily imply that one has caused the other.

The adverb clause "Just because two ~" seems to be used as subject .

Is this grammatical ?

No, it is not. , or add an 'it' as subject - adverb clauses do not act as subjects [though that does not mean that someone might not say it in a rather careless manner]. Well spotted!

No, it is not. You would need to write something like The correlation of two variables does not..., or add an 'it' as subject - adverb clauses do not act as subjects [though that does not mean that someone might not say it in a rather careless manner].
