Is this sentence correct/idiomatic? Emotion: smile

- The sun is starting to set as Swift is heading downtown, near the world Trade Center site, to play a live acoustic set.

There is nothing wrong, but I have to wonder why the double progressive. There had better be a good reason. " It depends on which is more important, Swift heading or the sun setting.

There is nothing wrong, but I have to wonder why the double progressive. There had better be a good reason.
