That's the place he was born.Is this sentence grammatically correct? If it's wrong, how should I correct it?  Thank you!

Depending on what 'place' really means in the sentence, the preposition could be in or perhaps even at:
That's the place in which he was born.
That's the place [which/that] he was born in.
Instead of in which you could say where:
That's the place where he was born.
