Is this sentence correct grammatically?

This is an excerpt from a guidebook called "LIVING IN KOBE":
"Before you may lie some daunting situations, a few setbacks and some confusion but there are plenty of rewards awaiting you as well."

I'm wondering if the above sentence is correct grammatically.
