Is this sentence correct?

Hi,

Is the following sentence correct?

"The study results showed that there was a significant difference between the mean scores of knowledge, attitude, practice, and annoyance for the intervention and control groups before and after the intervention, indicating that educational intervention was effective."

Thanks!

I am inclined to use "show" there, but you would have to use present tense in all such contexts throughout. Also, if there was the same difference between the groups before the education, that would mean the education had no effect. "
