Is this sentence correct?

Hi,

Is this sentence grammatically correct?

"With the increasing use of artificial lighting, people are able to use more of a 24-hour day and to perform a significant portion of their works at night."

Artificial lighting has been around for decades. It is not something that is increasing, except perhaps in undeveloped areas of the world with no electrical service.
