Is this sentence correct?

I was reading crazy stuff about the English language and I saw this sentence:

The dog I had had had had quite a few health difficulties before I took it to the vet.

The site I got it from says it's 100% grammatical sentence.

Could you tell me what's happening here with this I really got confused.

BoSsSy The site I got it from says it's 100% grammatical sentence. It is not 100% because past perfect is not required before 'before', but it does require another past event. This is 100%: The dog I had had quite a few health difficulties before I took it to the vet.
