Listen, if you are going to be commanding me in this house, do me a favor and actually accomplish something in your life first.

"Commanding" is not right word here. It should be, for example:


"Listen, if you're going to be bossing me around/calling the shots/throwing your weight around/ordering me around/the Man in this house, do me a favor..."
