Is this sentence correct?

"She will celebrate her birthday come September."

Is this sentence correct? I've read it from an established article but I have some doubts. I believe that it might be better if we write it like "She will celebrate her birthday this coming September." May someone confirm that the copywriter didn't break the grammar rule. I came from an ESL country and any help is much appreciated.
