Could you please tell me if the below sentence is correct? (I believe something is wrong.)
The author wants to emphasize that he had a good time.
"Not only did I have a bad time,but from every place I have been I experienced their well-known hospitality."
I would rewrite it as follows:
"Not only did I have a good time, but wherever I went I experienced their well-known hospitality."
