Is this sentence correct

As for "turn out tasting better than" from the following sentence, shouldn't it be "turn out that it is tasting better than"? Can I omit like this sentence?

If you make it according to the instructions, it will turn out tasting better than some of the "good efforts" you'll find stateside. "
