Is this sentence correct?

Hye everyone! could you please tell me, is this sentence correct or not?
"After taking this medicine, man feels more powerful than He is before he takes this medicine"
Should coloured part be "He was before he took this medicine" actually 1st sentence is in present simple therefore I think I might write it in present indefinite as a whole.Correct me please if I am wrong.
Thanks!

Hi We emphasize consistency in the use of tenses when we refer to events of the same time. For example we do not say- Yesterday he got up late, but somehow manages to reach his work on time. Hence you can change the tense as we refer to different times.

I think I 'd probably say something like

After taking this medicine, a person immediately feels invigorated.

"Man" (without the article) is sometimes used to refer to mankind but here it's inappropriate.
