Is this sentence correct?

Is the punctuation in this sentence correct?

"For my birthday last year, we had mac 'n cheese, salad, meatballs, and strawberry ice-cream — basically all of my comfort foods minus the salad (mom made us eat that)."

I'm particularly concerned about my dash usage after the list. Is it correct or should I revise?
