Is this sentence correct?

Now before I give out the sentence I want to tell you people a small background.

Background: There was this man who got operated by my father recently.

The Sentence: ..I did the surgery for your father..

Shouldn't there be 'of' instead of 'for'?

Or do you people have a diffrerent idea?

Thanks.

The man would say one of these:

Your father operated on me.

The operation that I had was done by your father.

My operation was done by your father.

But what would my father say? Actually my father is addressing to this person's(who was operated) son.

My father wants to say to the son of this man who got operated by my father: "I did the surgery of/for your father"

Which one is correct?

Actually I am of the view that 'of' must be used to clear the ambiguity caused by using 'for' instead.

Faris1985But what would my father say?
I did your father's surgery.
I did your father's operation.

I operated on your father.

In English of your father is normally expressed as your father's, so we don't say 'surgery of your father'; we say 'your father's surgery'.
