Is this sentence correct

Married couples are two mature adults having sex.

Should I add "who are having" or it's fine? And does this imply that they are having sex now or in general? Am I using the right tense?

I know it is untrue. I'm just asking about the structure because we were talking about something similar.

It is better to give reasonable examples, those that do not present confusing or contentious semantics, so that your respondent can focus on your question.
