Is this sentence correct?

I stumbled across something that says:

"It is you that I found my one true love, Jason."

It means "you" made "me" find my love (Jason). Is that grammatically correct? If not, how should I correct it? Please help. Thanks a million!

" It is not correct as it is, although it could be correct as: It is you that I found, my one true love, Jason. But that would mean that Jason is the antecedent for you, not that a third person (you) helped the "I" in the sentence find her true love, Jason.

  • " It is not correct as it is, although it could be correct as: It is you that I found, my one true love, Jason.
  • But that would mean that Jason is the antecedent for you, not that a third person (you) helped the "I" in the sentence find her true love, Jason.

You could say, "It is through you that I found my one true love, Jason."

It is not correct as it is, although it could be correct as:

It is you that I found, my one true love, Jason.

But that would mean that Jason is the antecedent for you, not that a third person (you) helped the "I" in the sentence find her true love, Jason.
