Is this sentence correct ?

Friends, I'm asking this question to "confirm" I'm using word "out of" correctly in this sentence. Please do check my sentence and tell me it's right or wrong.

Sentence: "I vote democrats/republicans/xyz out of compulsion not out of choice."
