Does "the last of which" can refer to "Buddhism" only instead of "The laws of Buddhism"?

Does "the last of which" can refer to "Buddhism" only instead of "The laws of Buddhism"?
It seems unclear to me.
To refer only to Buddhism, I'd say this.

My two suggestions are correct.

Your original sentence is correct but rather ambiguous, as you suggested. In addition, I'm uncomfortable saying 'the last of which' when referring to only two things. I'd prefer 'the latter of which'.
