Is this sentence correct?

Hi, I'd wager you've never read anything longer than the back of a cereal box. 'Wager' is fine, but I think 'bet' is more common, certainly in speech. Best wishes, Clive

I'd wager you've never read anything longer than the back of a cereal box.
