First, I have to know what the sentence means. I can think of two interpretations for "Our burdens are on our shoulders."

The first is that we are now bent under the weight of our troubles. The second is that we carry our burdens on our own shoulders and don't ask for help from others.

But perhaps you don't mean either of those.

OK. There is an English expression "A burden shared is a burden halved." That is, even just revealing that you have troubles lightens the load since you won't feel alone. The New Testament commands, "Bear ye one another's burdens," i.e., virtue requires that we seek to help others carry their burdens.
