Is this right?

Can I say "This is the best game I have ever played"

or is it

Hi, First, let me ask you a simpler question. Do you know the difference between 'I have cooked dinner' and 'I had cooked dinner' ? I'm asking because I want to know if you have an understanding of the Present Perfect and Past Perfect tenses.

Yes, I think I have cooked dinner is when I've just cooked it, where as had cooked dinner suggests I cooked it some time ago.

Hi,
Now let me ask you what difference you see between 'I cooked dinner' and 'I had cooked dinner'.

Then we can get on to considering your original query.
