Compare two expressions:

finding out / found out

getting to know / got to know

The first one is used for learning or discovering about something at a particular point in time. The second one is used for gradually learning about something over a long period of tim

Grammatically it's fine, but when asking such questions you should provide some context.
Context 1: Kevin needs some money. -> How did Kevin feel when he found out that Tom was going to help him?
Context 2: Kevin needs an assistant. -> How did Kevin feel when he found out that Tom was going to be helping him?
Context 3: Kevin hates/likes Tom. -> How did Kevin feel when he foun

No. But you could say I put a question to you.
It's a rather formal sentence.

Note also that a sentence is always incorrect if it does not use capital letters correctly.
