Top answer

guava build 845 Mrs. Jones reported her four-year-old son, dressed in blue pajamas and carrying a stuffed bear, had been missing since breakfast. I would add "that" after "reported".

  • guava build 845 Mrs.
  • Jones reported her four-year-old son, dressed in blue pajamas and carrying a stuffed bear, had been missing since breakfast.
  • I would add "that" after "reported".
  • As it stands, the reader thinks that "her four-year-old son" is the direct object of "reported".
  • It's only later that the reader realizes that it's not a direct object, but the subject of a new clause.
