Having received all of their orders, the hordes separated and entered the forest at the five designated locations. Odovar and the two Juramona hordes entered the Great Green through a large meadow known as Zivilyn’s Carpet. Tol and the rest of the shilder, along with the foot soldiers and supply wagons, were ordered by Odovar to remain in the meadow while the horsemen would enter the forest and engage the tribesmen. That night at the encampment, Tol was awakened by Felryn, who informed the young warrior that he had received a vision showing that Odovar, Egrin, and the Juramona warriors were going to be ambushed by hundreds of foresters. Tol immediately organized a rescue party to journey into the Great Green and save Odovar and his troops. Since his fellow shilder refused to disobey orders, Tol instead entered the forest alongside one hundred of the foot soldiers.
