Tol led his remaining three hundred men to Old Port, where they captured several Tarsan soldiers with valuable information. The Ergothians learned that only a few score Tarsan soldiers were actually quartered in the town and that the main army was south of Three Rose Creek, outside of Old Port, since Tylocost was preparing to strike south and destroy Urakan’s army once and for all. The enemy force facing the Ergothians was twelve thousand strong, and consisted of an equal number of infantry and cavalry units.
