Is this passage all worded correctly?

Ackal IV dispatched couriers to meet with Enkian and discover his reasons for bringing an army to Daltigoth, but the messengers never returned. This resulted in the emperor ordering Tol to travel alone to the army’s encampment and meet with Enkian. If the Warden of the Seascapes caused any trouble, then Egrin would lead ten of the Daltigoth hordes to crush the rebels. Tol journeyed to the camp accompanied by Kiya, and upon his arrival; he was immediately brought before Enkian. The warden explained to Tol that shortly after word reached the Seascapes of the old emperor’s death, a second message had arrived warning of a Pakin plot to seize the throne. Enkian was told to bring all of the forces he could gather to the capital and that the plot was deeply imbedded in the court, so he was to ignore all couriers and commands until the arrival of one trusted contact, Pelladrom.
