Is this passage all correct?

Soon thereafter, Mandes met with Nazramin at the prince’s home and begged him for aid against both Tol and Elicarno. Nazramin refused to help the wizard and broke off his alliance since he realized that Mandes’s time in Daltigoth was now over. The day of the contest, Ackal IV, Valaran, and an imperial entourage assembled on the Field of Corij, a meadow north of the city, to witness the competition between Mandes and Elicarno. The emperor tasked the two competitors with destroying a wooden post buried into the ground, and the winner would be the individual who completed the assignment the fastest. Elicarno won the contest and Ackal IV then ordered the arrest of Mandes, but the wizard escaped capture.
