Is this passage all correct?

Tol still had received no messages from Valaran or Egrin, and the only word from Amaltar was that he appreciated Tol for keeping station throughout the winter months, but no praise for his autumn victories. When a private message finally did arrive, it came in the form of Sanksa. The Karad-shu man had left with Egrin for Daltigoth months earlier, and explained to Tol that upon their arrival in Caergoth, they had been ordered to the southern coast to secretly train six hordes to fight the Kharland pirates who had continually plundered the empire’s coast. Sanksa deserted the Ergothian coastal camp to travel to Hylo to inform Tol of the treachery that was done in the capital by Mandes. Although Tol was ordered to remain in Hylo with the army, he swore vengeance on Mandes and the others who had betrayed him.
