Is this paragraph grammatically correct? Please help!

I am attaching this check because I made a mistake when I signed the receipt at Key Wester Restaurant. I did not notice that the receipt already included gratuity, so I added additional $10 tip. I overpaid this person, but it is my mistake so I need to reimburse the company. Please let me know if you have any questions, and I apologize.

Thank you:)))Emotion: smile

Hi ekrol, and welcome to English Forums. First, are you really sure you need to do this? Has your company told you they expect you to reimburse them?

  • It would be highly unusual for a company to go to that much trouble for an extra $10 on an entire expense report.
  • If you really do need to do this: Attached is a check for $10.

If you really do need to do this:

Attached is a check for $10. This is the extra amount I added to the bill

That's amazing. It will cost them way more than $10 to go through all the rigamarole of processing it. What if the server had just given you really great service - you're not allowed to over-tip?
