Is this paragraph grammatically correct?

I have read this paragraph in a text titled,"Getting past the population peak" and I think it has some errors !! What do you think?

" Now, though, education and skills training offer a rapid rout to good pay and a good lifestyle. It has therfore become sensiblefor today's parents in many parts of the world to have fewer children and give them the best possible start in life."
