Is this ok?

I gave a present to my former teacher. He sent me an email there he said thanks for the present and that he liked it a lot. Is it correct, polite and informal to send this: "Thank you - I'm glad that you like it. Have a great weekend."?

Thank you for your help!

Your teacher thanked you. You don't thank him in reply. You say "You're welcome" if you say anything.

You can write

I'm glad that you like it. Have a great weekend.

That's enough for an informal email.
