Is this letter of motivation impressive?

I've written this letter of motivation for the master programme. Could you, please, review it. It's a part of an application form, so I didn't use salutation.

Letter of Motivation


I use to setting my goals higher than my fellows. I am always on the search for new challenges and possibilities so that I can use them to my advantage earlier than the others. Having an objective on my mind is what always shows me the way ahead.

The point of my studies resides in financial management. I try to make my study and career as diverse as possible and include a lot of international experiences. A foreign study is therefore one of the obligatory components. I already started to build the fundaments of my knowledge during the studies at the University of Economics in CityA and CityB, but I am still looking for new opportunities to improve my knowledge. In September 2004, as a result of my study effort, I earned the Master degree (Engineer) in Financial management and Accounting with excellent grades.

My interest in foreign cultures and languages, as well as a stay in Austria, USA and other countries, contributed to my intercultural competence as I was tackling problems together with fellows from USA, Netherlands or Poland. All these experiences have naturally increased my ability to communicate and allowed me to acquire a good level of English as well as an opening spirit. Foreign languages are my assets, therefore I am always looking for opportunities to develop them.

During my studies, I have obtained a solid work experience in business administration, project management, financial planning and controlling, and customer services. Both practical experience and theoretical knowledge forced me to become effective in all areas of my working and studying habits. Consequently, Financial planning methods and models, the academic research I carried out, was considered by the State Commission for Examinations to be an excellent and innovative research in the field of financial management.

My activities are nowadays targeted to deepen my abilities and command of international financial management. This requires wide knowledge, as I have to combine study from different sources. That is why I am applying for Master programme in Finance at the XY University.

My career is academically oriented and highly incentive. I am ready to take a challenge to qualify me as an erudite financial specialist and to prepare me for PhD. I will keep going this way. Not only because of my future career, but mostly because I like it. How simply.
