OK, so what do you call those kind of phrases? Things that can't be true such as a straight corner etc

You can call them all sorts of things: paradox, contradiction, contradiction in terms, self-contradiction, impossibility, logical impossibility, logical contradiction.


But I think you may be looking for the word oxymoron.
