Essay & Composition Writing

is this grammatically correct? thank you for your help.

I would like to postpone updating the City’s map until early 2007. I feel that our current map has been only 2 years old and the process of updating new map takes approximately 9 months to complete. By the time we have a new map, it would be almost 4 years old is reasonable time to have a new map for the City. Hence, I would prefer to start on the map project early of next year. Please give me an O.K. on this so I can tell the map guy and tell him that we are not interested in updating it right now and plan to start with it at the beginning of next year when he calls again.
