Is this grammatically correct ?

I have moved xyz, abc service, to upstart, so that we don’t have to start it manually every time the server is rebooted.

This use of "upstart" looks odd to me and may be incorrect. Is this a term that you made up, or is it a standard term used in connection with this type of system? The comma in "xyz, abc service" may be incorrect.

  • It is hard to say how this should be written without knowing what "xyz" and "abc" stand for.
  • Otherwise it is OK.

Thanks so much for replying and correcting. XYZ is the server name and ABC is the application service name. Upstart is the service starting daemon, you can say it's a term.

I believe below sentences are much clearer than previous ones.

I have moved xyz, abc service, to upstart. Now, we don’t have to start abc service manually every time the server is rebooted.
