Is this grammatically correct?

I get more money than I give to, or from him.

instead of:

I get more money from him than I give him to.

I don't want to know if it sounds good, I only want to know why it is grammatically correct or no.

I would also appreciate if you can cite a source.

  • Hi, I get more money than I give to, or from him.
  • instead of: Say it this way.
  • I get more money from him than I give him to to him .
  • You need to say 'to him' for the same reason that you say 'from him', ie the preposition comes before the pronoun.
  • You can also omit the 'to', ie I get more money from him than I give him .
