Is this even a complete sentence?

His disease was if that character which would admit of exact calculation in respect to the epoch of its termination in death; and it was finally arranged between us that he would send for me about twenty-four hours before the period announced by his physicians as that of his decease.

Hi,

It's fine. Just a typo.

The phrase

His disease was if that character. . .

should be

His disease was of that character. . .

It would never have occurred to me that anyone found "ok" too long or difficult to type.

As for 'epoch', it is an unusual use nowadays, but here is the applicable definition:

a point of time distinguished by a particular event or state of affairs; a memorable date: 'His coming of age was an epoch in his life. '

Ah, okay. It explains why I did not find a definition that matched its use in the dictionary. Thank you.
