is this enough info for a character letter

I confirm that I have known Teijan for nine years. He and I are good friends.

You might add a sentence or two of examples or detail-- his never missing a day of work, some kindness or assistance he has given you, etc. Oh-- and you should certainly add a sentence indicating your status and credentials.
