Is this email written correctly (Thank you in advance)

I would like to apply for the PhD position at Roche Diagnostics GMBH (ROCHE). Your name was mentioned in the PhD advertisement.

I would like to humbly ask you if this position is already filled? The reason I ask is because I could not find any deadline for this position. So, If the position is still available I am extremely interested and I would definitely like to apply for this position.
