Thanks Jim,
Wow, Your sentence looks very gorgeous.
And at point of view as beginner, it looks very difficult. Also it looks more literature rather than verbal.
So I have one question about how many use native speaker as your sentence style?

It's a fairly ordinary sentence. Anybody might say it, I suppose. It's not literary!

Yes, but as you become more advanced in English, it won't be very difficult for you.

Carter LeeI have a question about your sentence "you are using it wrong".My question is that is there hide relative clauses ?
There are no hidden relative clauses in "You are using it wrong".

it = the word "improve"
wrong = incorrectly

So "You are using it wrong" = You are using the word "improve" incorrectly.

"incorrectly" descr

Carter Lee I have no idea why you remove' did in my original sentence?
CJ removed 'did' because it is not the natural way to form the past tense. It is used only for emphasis in the ffirmative..

Thanks but I have one more questions in here.
I overslept today so I drove to work because I didn't have enough time to catch the bus.

Why you do not remove 'did' at I didn't?
As your said,.I think it should be :
I overslept today so I drove to work because I hadn't enough time to catch the bus.

We use DO as an auxiliary to form the affirmative and negative of lexical verbs.

HAVE is unusual in that, for a minority of speakers of BrE, it can be used in negative and interrogative forms of the lexical verb without DO, so hadn't is possible in your sentence. However, most speakers of BrE and virtually all speakers of AmE would say didn't have.
