Is this correct in American English?I don't know any can you tell me some of them so I can check them out. Do we need "about" before some?Thanks

I don't know any. Can you tell me some of them, so (that) I can check them out?

Consider these examples and note the different meaning caused by 'about'.

Can you tell me Shakespeare's plays? Means Can you identify them?, Can you tell me their names?

Can you tell me about Shakespeare's plays? Means Can you provide information about them? You might say 'They are great works of literature. Some are comedies and some are tragedies'.
