Suppose you have not seen your friend Mike since 15 years. And unexpectedly you met him in a public place. You noticed the features of his face have changed a lot, because he got old remarkably. So, how can we explain it in English? For example can we say:
“Man, I did not know you, you have changed a lot!” ? Is this correct English? Purposely I avoided saying “you have got old”. Because, as you know, people do not like it! Please feel free to correct the English of any part of my post.

I would suggest "I didn't recognize you" instead of "I didn't know you."
Clive is tactfully saying that "You've changed a lot" when you both know that it was not a change for the better is not something the person needs to be reminded of.
