Is this correct? (Colon)

Directions: Identify whether the following sentences require an (S) semicolon or a (C) colon.

Question: The award show features rap musicians, pop musicians, two alternative bands, and even some jazz artists.

Answer: (C) Colon

It doesn't show the sentence with the colon included, but I assume they meant, The award show features: rap musicians, pop musicians, two alternative bands, and even some jazz artists.

Is this correct? I've always thought the introduction-before the colon-must be a complete sentence.

Your answer seems to be the one they want. It is not an uncommon usage in PR writing. However, the sentence stands without either.

Hi,

PR usually stands for Public Relations.

If I am a celebrity and I hire a Public Relations expert, he will handle/manage/manipulate my relationship with the public.
