Question

First of all, it's really great being part of this forum. Secondly, I am going to married in coming month. I need to send an email to my manger for approval of my leaves. I need a formal yet simple letter. Could you help me out? Thanks a lot!

Dear ABC,

I am happy to tell that my marriage has been fixed on 14th October 2012. So I will be leaving for my hometown on 12th Oct’12 and I will be needing two weeks of leaves after my marriage. Hence I request you to allow me to take off from DATE to DATE
