Is this correct?

Winnowing is a method of separating grain from chaff. It involves throwing the mixture into the air so that the wind blows away the lighter chaff, while the heavier grains fall back down for recovery. A hand-driven wooden winnower is still used on small farms to prepare grain for sowing.
