Is this correct?

I closed the door and the room got all dark.

Is this correct or could it be written in a better way?

anonymous I closed the door , and the room got all dark. It's not necessarily better, but you can say "... the room went dark" as well.

It's not necessarily better, but you can say "... the room went dark" as well.
