Is this correct?

Good afternoon

Thank you for letting me know about Colin's homework. I gave him an opportunity to complete it in class and he got the points. Also, we, as a group, discussed the homework to clarify questions and concerns. Once again, thank you for being a responsible parent and to let me know about this inconvenient.
