Is this correct?

Hi,

Is this sentence correct?

"It has been reported that the DNA in human retinal epithelial cells will be damaged after three hours of exposure to visible light because of the production of singlet oxygen, anion superoxide, and radical hydroxyl in the mitochondria, but after 6 hours of exposure less damage is observed due to the DNA repair, and this indicates an adaptive response to the oxidative load."

Thanks!
