Is this correct?

Hi,

Is it right to say:

"X scale has been developed to be differentiated from Y scale" or should I simply say "X scale has been developed to be different from Y scale."?

Thank you!

Are X and Y placholders for words, or are they variable names? Probably it should be "The X scale" and "the Y scale". "developed to be differentiated from" probably is unnecessary.

  • Probably "developed to be different" would do, but it would be good to have more context.
